The Flooded Closet

Ash, Brock, and Misty were just walking along a path to get to the dock. They were planning to board the ferry headed for the Fuchsia Islands. They were going there in hopes of seeing a mysterious Pokémon like everyone else was talking about. As they continued their journey on the path to the dock, they noticed a strange house along the side.
"I wonder who would want to live here?" Ash wondered with dismay. "They're totally cut off from civilization except the dock, but that is still half a day's walk away." "You never know why someone would want to cut themselves off from civilization." Misty added. "I suggest we take a peek and see if anyone's home, and then we can ask." Everyone agreed that this was a great idea and decided to knock on the door.
As the gang walked up to the door, they couldn't help but notice that all of the life around them was gloomy and dead. "Wow, they really need to water their lawn." Brock smirked. "I never knew the grass could be so gray." Ash added.
Finally, they arrived onto the strange house's porch. When they stepped onto the dying wood which made up the porch, they immediately decided that they should be careful in case the entire porch collapsed underneath them. "So, who's going to knock on the door?" Brock asked. Both Ash and Misty were a little frightened of the result of knocking the door so they both pushed Brock towards the door and said, "No way, you can do it now Brock. Be strong." "Ah, I guess that I have to do it..." Brock sighed and knocked on the door.
Instantly, the door creaked open and revealed the interior of the creepy house. A blast of frigid damp air blasted out toward the trio and they all shuddered. "Do you think we should go in?" Misty whimpered. "C'mon Misty." Ash exclaimed. "There's nothing to be worried about. It's just a creepy house that may fall apart at any second." At that statement, Ash shuddered. "Yeah, you're right. Do you think we should go in?" "You guys!" Brock sighed. "You two need more adventure in your lives. C'mon in!"
At that, Brock immediately pushed them into the old house. Apparently, the house was damaged beyond repair. Most of the beams and supports were on the verge of collapsing and there were several holes within the roof, floor, and walls. An eerie draft blew between the floorboards and the trio knew that venturing within this house was definitely a bad idea.
The three suddenly began to sprint to the door to escape the horror of this house, but as if on cue, the door instantly slammed shut. "OH NO!!!" Ash cried. "WE'RE TRAPPED!!!" The three tried to pull the door open but it was no us. The door wouldn't budge at all. After a few minutes of trying, the three collapsed onto the ground in defeat.
"Well, since we're stuck in here, we could explore the house and find another way out." Brock exclaimed. Everyone agreed it was a good idea and decided to venture within the weird haunted house.
The trio first decided to try and climb up the stairs. The stairs had been really damaged because most of its supports were about to collapse. Fortunately, it was still strong and stable enough to support the three as the continued up the creaking stair steps. After about a few minutes of trekking, the three reached the second level of the house. This level was in better shape than the lobby, but it still could use a lot of touching up.
They went into the first room to their right and they supposed it could me a bedroom. The eerie breeze was much stronger in this room and it crept everyone out, especially Ash and his poor frigid Pikachu.
Inside this weird room was an old bed, a foggy mirror residing on a desk, some drawers and some other furniture you may find in an average little girl's bedroom. The most mysterious piece of furniture in that room was the closet. When the three got close to the closet, the eerie wind was at its strongest.
"Let's have a look inside!" Ash exclaimed. "Are you nuts?" Misty replied. "You never know what could be in that closet. I mean, the breeze gets stronger every single time you get near it." The three decided that it was best to leave the closet alone but something inside Ash was tempted to go back and open that closet.
They decided to check out the next room. The room to the left of the bedroom was a bathroom. Rust was everywhere and there was not a sign of any clean water. When Brock tried to turn on the tap, all that came out was brown water and mud. They became nauseous due to this ugly weird smell residing within the bathroom. They all then decided to evacuate the bathroom immediately.
The three then decided to go back down and look for another way out there. As they passed the bedroom once more, Ash's urge to open that mysterious closet became stronger, but he still decided to ignore it as best as he could, but he was struggling and couldn't pay attention to where he was walking. Pikachu noticed this and became very concerned about Ash.
As the three passed the room that seemed to resemble the kitchen, they finally found another way to escape. There was a window in the kitchen and they decided to break it using their Pokémon. Pikachu gave the window a Thunderbolt and it broke instantly. The three climbed out and were relieved that they finally got out of that creepy house. "Man, I'm sure no one lives there." Misty exclaimed.
As they walked off the house's property, they looked back at the creepy house one last time. Ash still had that same incredible urge to charge back in there and open the closet but he knew that it would be a bad idea now and he didn't want to risk getting trapped all over.
By the time they walked off the property of the house, Brock finally realized that it was getting late. "I guess we'll have to camp out here tonight." he replied. As they set up their stuff in front of the house's property, the broken home loomed over them, waiting...
Finally, dinner was ready. As always, the dinner was delicious thanks to Brock's fantastic cooking. As they ate, Ash still couldn't get the fact that he really wanted to open that closet out of his head. He decided to tell his friends. "You guys," Ash started. "I think we should go back in there." "ARE YOU CRAZY???" Misty screamed. "WE NEARLY GOT KILLED TRYING TO GET OUT!!" "Misty is right." Brock continued. "Why would you want to go back in the first place?" Ash then wondered if he should tell them and he decided that he would have to. "I really feel that we should open that closet. I feel as if there's something special in there." "WHAT???" Misty screamed once more. "YOU WANT TO RISK KILLING YOURSELF ALL OVER AGAIN JUST SO YOU CAN OPEN A CLOSET???"
When Misty put it that way, Ash realized how ridiculous that was. "Okay then." Ash replied. "I'll just stay right here. Finally, the three finished their dinner and they were off to bed. By the time it was midnight, everyone had fallen asleep except Ash. He still really wanted to find out what was in the closet, but he forced himself to stay put and go to sleep.
Finally, Ash dozed off. The only thing was, he had the strangest dream. He dreamt himself getting up and walking towards the house. He remembered thinking how vivid the dream was and he wasn't even sure if it was a dream or not. As he walked into the creepy mansion once more, the eerie breeze was stronger. It felt as if it were tugging at him to follow it. As Ash climbed up the stairs as if he were in a trance, he felt calm and relaxed instead of tense and scared like the last time he was here.
Finally, he reached the top and stepped into the bedroom. Everything was the same as they had left it this afternoon. Once Ash stepped into the bedroom, he accidentally tripped and dropped his hat. He then remembered that he would pick it up later. Ash walked over to closet and lifted his hand up to open it. Suddenly, he heard the voice of a little girl. He couldn't hear exactly what it was saying but it was as if she were screaming for help. Ash opened the closet door and the screaming stopped. The voice then came back in a menacing tone. It said, "Thanks for the help." Out of nowhere a strong breeze woke Ash up and it tugged him into the closet. The last thing Ash thought was, "I guess this wasn't a dream after all..."
Eventually dawn broke and Brock and Misty got up for a fresh and early start. The only thing is, something was missing. "ASH!!" Misty yelled. "WHERE ARE YOU???" Brock and Misty were stunned. Where could Ash be when they had a ferry to catch that day?
Brock then recalled a very important clue. "Misty," Brock started." Don't you remember what Ash told us the night before?" Misty first gave it some thought and then remembered. "Oh yeah! Ash really wanted to go check out that closet!"
That gave them their first clue and now they had a suspicion that Ash may have been trapped in the creepy house. "We have to go save him!" Misty cried. After that statement, they went back to the creepy house they swore they would never go back to.
As they entered the house once more, they recalled all of the familiar surroundings. The cracked walls, ceiling, and floor were definitely still there as well as the broken supports which have already begun to crumble. "Brock, we better find Ash fast." Misty whimpered. "Good idea." Brock replied. As they remembered where the bedroom with the closet was, they sprinted up the stairs, but only as fast as they could without causing a large thump strong enough to topple down the stairs. As they finally reach the top, they see something familiar indicating that they were close.
"Look Brock!" Misty cheered. "It's Ash's hat!" In front of them laid Ash's special edition Indigo League hat. "Ash must be close." Brock replied. 'Let's keep going." Before long, Misty and Brock were standing in front of the closet just as they did yesterday. As Misty opened the closet, the eerie breeze from before became stronger, but not as it had the night before with Ash.
Once Misty opened the closet door completely, there was Ash lying down in front of them. He looked quite pale and sickly and so Misty and Brock carried him outside gently as soon as possible. Once they were in sunlight was only when Misty and Brock saw just how pale Ash really was. They were all truly worried.
"What could have happened to Ash?" Misty wondered. Both Misty and Brock were dumbstruck as to what could have happened to their poor friend. As Ash just laid there on the grass, he shivered as if he were laying on snow.
Time passed by as Misty and Brock did all they could to help their poor friend but it seemed as if everything they did had no effect at all.
"Oh, I wish there was a Pokémon Center nearby," Brock started. "Nurse Joy may have been able to help us." "Yeah, you're right." Misty continued. "But we're totally cut off from civilization and the ferry dock is still half a day's walk away."
Brock and Misty put one last moist towel on Ash's forehead before they headed off to bed. They had to go to sleep hoping that ash would get better in the morning.
Sure enough, Ash made a miraculous recovery overnight. Misty and Brock were pleased that Ash was back to his old hyped up self again, but something wasn't right. They could feel it, but they didn't know what it was. "Ok Ash, we have to go now." Misty called. "We have to head to the ferry to get to the Fuchsia Islands." At first, Ash looked as if he had no idea what they were talking about, but then he shouted an "OK" and then they were off.
As they were walking, Brock couldn't help but notice something weird. Pikachu and Ash seemed to be avoiding each other. Pikachu was all sparked up about Ash and Ash was keeping his distance away from Pikachu. Pikachu also refused to go on Ash's shoulder like it usually does and it growls at Ash every once in a while.
By the time they were half way there, they met up with a trainer who challenged Ash to a battle. This trainer chose a Staryu and Ash had to go with his Pikachu. This battle was quite weird as Ash kept calling out moves that Pikachu didn't even know.
"Pikachu, use Thunder Wave!" Ash called out. At first, Misty and Brock looked at Ash in shock because they both knew clearly that Pikachu didn't know Thunder Wave. Pikachu too had a weird questioning look towards Ash as well. Ash then scratched his head, as if he was wondering why Pikachu didn't know Thunder Wave. The he called out another move. "Pikachu, use Shock Wave." Again, Pikachu, Brock and Misty gave Ash quite a questioning look and Ash just scratched his head again and said, "Whoops, I guess Pikachu doesn't know that move either." At the end, Ash got lucky and won only because he finally called out a move Pikachu knew. (Thunderbolt)
As they continued their journey, Misty and Brock were still confused about the earlier battle. How could Ash have forgotten what moves Pikachu knew? They were still mystified and figured that it was because of Ash's surprise sickness that he forgot and it would wear off soon.
Eventually, they reached their destination and finally made it to the ferry dock. Ash seemed quite scared to actually be at the dock once they arrived. "Ash, what's wrong?" Misty asked questioningly. "Oh, nothing wrong!" Ash replied. "I just got a little...seasick, I guess." "Ok then..." Misty said and she still thought that they had done this tons of times and Ash never got seasick once, not even that time when he had to dive into the water to save his Pikachu from Team Rocket.
Once they got on board, Misty instantly lost Ash within the crowd. "I wonder where Ash could've bolted off to.", she wondered. When she told Brock, he too had no clue as to where Ash could have been."I hope Ash is on this ship." he said. "It's probably going to leave soon." Fortunately for them, Ash was on the boat, but he was stuffing his face at the buffet as if he hadn't eaten in three days.
"Ash, what are you doing?" Misty cried. "That's supposed to be for the other passengers, you pig." At that, she slapped Ash right in the face. Unfortunately, that was a big mistake. Out of nowhere, some mysterious force punched her in the face and Ash walked away whispering to her, "Wrong move..."
Misty immediately told Brock what had just happened and Brock laughed. "There's no way Ash could have done that!" Brock laughed. "I guess he was too fast for you and you didn't see him coming." Misty didn't believe Brock's statement at all. When she was hit in the face, Ash's hands were filed with food and if it was Ash who hit her, there would at least be some sauce from the food. She also wondered why Ash would do that. She slapped Ash plenty of times in their previous adventure, and none of those occasions did Ash actually retaliate.
Out of nowhere, Pikachu comes, telling Misty to come follow it. Misty at first was deep in thought and ignored it, but when Pikachu gave Misty a Thunderbolt, she knew that this was important. Misty then grabbed Brock who was flirting with two other girls and then both followed Pikachu.
Pikachu lead the two of them to Ash's room. Both knew that something was up when they felt a sudden bone-chilling breeze run down their spine. Suddenly, Misty and Brock heard a smash come from inside and they barged in, only to find Ash on the ground, shivering once again.
The two lifted Ash up so they can find someone to help him, but oddly enough, they couldn't get to him. There seemed to be some invisible force field surrounding their poor friend. As the two tried to bang on the force field, hoping it would break, several items in the room started to float around randomly. At that, Misty and Brock stopped and they wondered what was going on.
Out of nowhere, the sane invisible force knocked Misty and Brock out, leaving Pikachu all by himself. Poor Pikachu ran out of the room in despair and tried to get some help. Unfortunately, it was being tugged back by some mystical force. Pikachu, as it was being tugged back, noticed that Ash had begun to float above the ground. Poor Ash, as Pikachu saw, began to squirm around as if something were torturing him. Pikachu then got knocked out and it wished that it could've helped its trainer and friends.
Finally the boat docked at Fuchsia City, the city which resided north of the Fuchsia Islands which is where the gang was headed to. Unfortunately, they were still all knocked out when they arrived. When the captain did the usual check for any forgotten items or people who were still sleeping, he found Ash and all of his friends laying on the ground. He wanted to help, but as he trekked forward, he felt as if someone were adding heavy weights to his legs. His movements became more and more sluggish with each step he took towards the kids and he finally collapsed to the ground due to the fatigue that had suddenly overcome him.
Once the ship had begun to undock, the crewmates were looking for their captain because only he could steer the ship. When they found him laying on the ground along with the other kids, they tried to help too. Oddly enough, they were able to help and got all five of them to the nearest Pokémon Center.
Nurse Joy, after taking a look at the Captain, was quite concerned after noticing how heavy his legs had become. Even she had no idea the cause of this event. Misty, Brock, and Pikachu were okay because they had finally regained consciousness after they were mysteriously knocked out. Ash woke up fine as well. The truth was, Ash felt as if nothing happened.
Later that day, any time Misty and Brock bought up the subject as to what happened at the time, Ash would oddly change the subject and Misty and Brock had to go along with that. The only thing was, the two really wanted to find out exactly what happened.
During the afternoon, the three rested up at a Pokémon Center and Ash went away with his Pokémon to do some "special" training as he calls it. Misty and Brock were at first worried if they should leave Ash alone, but the still let him go anyway.
Ash was oddly gone for a long time. By the time he got back, it was almost curfew, 11:00 pm. Misty and Brock were seriously worried, but when they saw Ash walking over the horizon, they felt okay once more.
When Ash walked in though, they could see that he was really worn down as if he had just been in a huge fight and lost...badly. Misty and Brock noticed that his hair was messier than usual and had a bunch of twigs and leaves in them. His arms were quite bruise and he had a big cut which ran down his cheek. As Ash passed by, he looked at his friends and smiled a friendly smile as if trying to say that everything was okay. He then began to walk towards his room, but then collapsed half way due to fatigue. Misty and Brock immediately ran to his side to help, but Ash just pushed them away and then began limping to his room.
"Ash..." Misty began. "We just wanted to help." "Yeah Ash." Brock continued. "Let us help you." "I don't need your help." Ash groaned. "I can handle it." At that statement, Ash fell to the ground once more. Misty and Brock ran towards him to help him up, but Ash still continued to refuse their help. "Ash, tell us what happened." Misty exclaimed. "You can trust us, we're you're friends." "No, just leave me alone!" Ash growled. "It's none of your business." Ash limped away while holding his stomach tightly into his bedroom and his two best friends just stood in the middle of the floor, concerned with what had just happened. They just knew something terrible must have happened and they needed to know what.
"Time for curfew!" Nurse Joy shouted through the Pokémon Center. "Lights out everyone!" Misty and Brock then went to their rooms, but they couldn't sleep because they were too worried about Ash. Unfortunately, they weren't the only ones who couldn't get a good night's sleep. Ash's dreams had been polluted with nightmares and he kept shivering and wriggling with torture as the sound of that girl's voice continued to haunt him.
The next day, Ash, Misty, and Brock were up pretty late due to the lack of sleep they just had. Breakfast had already started once the trio finally got down into the cafeteria. As the three sat down into their own table for their breakfast, Misty and Brock couldn't help but stare at Ash for they could see that they weren't the only ones with fatigue in their eyes. The cut down Ash's cheek was still quite visible, and he still wouldn't let anyone treat it.
By the time they finished breakfast, the three had regained their strength and they were all ready to get on with the day. Ash on the other hand had other things in mind. "You guys, I'm going to do some more special training." Ash said. "See you two later." At that he ran off. Misty and Brock decided that it would be best if this time they came along with him, but secretly. This way, they can try and figure out themselves exactly what is going on with their friend. They ran along behind their friend, but ducked out every once in a while in case he noticed them following him.
Eventually, Ash appeared to have finally reached his destination. He called out his Pokémon in front of him and took a good long look at them. Suddenly, Ash crouched into a ball. he was holding his head in pain. He was screaming in pain too. Misty and Brock wanted to help, but they weren't sure if they should blow their cover off. All of Ash's Pokémon seeing their trainer in pain like that was unbearable to them. They really wanted to help so they made a bed out of soft leaves on the ground for him. After that, they forced Ash to lie down on it. Ash was still in pain even after his Pokémon put him on the neat little leaf bed.
This time, Misty and Brock decided to finally pop out and reveal themselves, but then Ash began muttering some nonsense and they decided to see what he was trying to say. "Get out of my head!" Ash cried. "Stop bothering me and just leave me alone!" Misty and Brock felt so defenceless that they couldn't do anything at all to help their friend. That's when they popped out of the bushes. As they looked at ash in pity, Ash looked back and smiled as if to say "Thanks for coming to help."
After smiling for just briefly, the pain intensified and Ash screamed louder. Ash stood up in pain and he ran into the woods. He was blind in pain and he kept crashing though shrubs and just nearly avoiding branches and trees. Misty, Brock, and all of the other Pokémon ran after him until Ash finally stopped in yet another clearing. That's when the pain seemed to have stopped and Ash crawled to the ground, crying. Misty and Brock ran to his side to comfort him, but the same mysterious force blanketed Ash once more. This time, the follow-up knock out hit didn't come, but the same thing before happened once again. Ash fainted to the ground and then he started wriggling as if he were being tortured. He started to then float and as his friends and Pokémon watched, he still continued to wriggle in pain. The only thing different this time was that it was much more brief and Ash just laid back onto the ground as if he were asleep, which in a way, was true.
Misty and Brock put their hands on their friend as if he were dead and Misty began to cry. Ash woke up and opened his eyes to find his friends staring at him. "What happened?" he asked. "You were in pain." Misty told him. "Oh." Ash answered. he then got up and he stared at the sky. "I wonder if there's something wrong with me?" he then looked down at his friends and Pokémon. "I'm sorry for worrying you like that." "It's okay Ash." Brock replied. "As long as you're okay, we're okay."
Later that day, Ash went to Brock and Misty. "Brock, can I talk to you in private?" Ash asked. "Sure Ash." Brock replied. As the two walked away from Misty, Misty wondered exactly what they were going to talk about. Then she just let it go to go and check out the sights.
A few minutes later, Ash and Brock finally found a private spot to talk. "What did you want to know Ash?" Brock asked. "Brock, there's been something going on." Ash said. "Every time I go through that pain, in the end, I feel different, as if something has changed in me each time." Brock just nodded in understanding. "Am I going through puberty?" At that statement, Brock fell to the ground, dumbstruck. "Ash, what you're going through probably isn't puberty." Brock exclaimed. "Don't worry buddy. we'll always be here to help you at any time." "Thanks Brock, you're the best." Ash cried. Then he ran off to do some real training.
Brock then followed behind Ash to watch him train secretly. Once Ash got to the training grounds, Brock hid behind a shrub. Suddenly, Ash had some more pain again, but it was only brief. Afterwards, Ash smiled a weird smile, only because Brock didn't know what there was to be so proud about. Because of that smile, Brock also assumed that Ash was okay, so he didn't pop out of the shrubs just yet. When Ash called out his Pokémon, Brock couldn't help but notice a new glimmer in his eye. It was a different glimmer unlike anything he had ever seen. He was sure it was passion but it seemed more like fury. That showed when Ash began training his Pokémon furiously. It was unlike any way Brock had ever seen Ash train his Pokémon. Ash seemed to be using threats to train his Pokémon. When a Pokémon didn't do something right, Ash would go right up to it, yell at it, and kick it. By the time they were done their training, all the Pokémon were worn out and Ash called them back in dismay. "Pathetic Pokémon." he said and he spat onto the ground and left.
As Ash walked back to the Pokémon center, he walked back with both a frown and a smile, as if he were determined to do something. Brock then ran after him and stopped him in his tracks. "What do you want?" Ash said in an unpleased tone. "Ash, I need to check if you're still yourself, okay?" Ash looked seriously discontent by Brock's concern and told him, "What's the point of that. Of course I'm still me!" At that, Ash pushed Brock out of the way and continued walking.
By the time Ash and Brock reached the Pokémon Center, misty and Pikachu had managed to catch up and follow in as well. Ash immediately went into his room and his friends barged in to see him lying on his bed.
"Leave me alone!" Ash sighed. "C'mon Ash, tell us what's wrong." Misty replied. "Just leave me alone!" Ash continued. "You're going to miss the amazing dinner I prepared!" Brock said. "I don't care! Just leave me alone!" At that, Ash stood up and lifted his arms up as if he were going to cast a spell."Ash, what's wrong with you?" Misty cried. She then pulled onto Ash's arms to begin dragging him. Suddenly, she felt as if she'd been slapped but that was impossible because Brock was standing behind her and she was holding both of Ash's arms.
That's when something weird happened. Ash began to smile. He was just looking down and smiled as if he was happy, even under the circumstances. Misty let go of Ash's arms and ran to Brock. That's when Ash whispered. "Wrong move." At that, he lifted his arms once more and made them seem as if he were pushing a wall. That's when some invisible force pushed both Brock and Misty back and made them slam fiercely against the wall. Pikachu began a Thunderbolt to attempt to shock Ash, but somehow, Ash made the Thunderbolt stop in its tracks and have it redirected back to Pikachu, who then got shocked quite badly.
Brock then finally figured out what happened. "How did you get psychic powers Ash?" he asked. That's when the smile on Ash' s face wiped off and instead, a non-emotional face took its place. ash then started to speak in a mixture of his and some little girl's voice. "Why did you leave me?" he whispered. Both Brock and Misty had no idea what he was talking about. "What are you talking about, Ash?" Misty replied. "We never left you." This statement really ticked Ash off for some reason. His face became twisted with anger as he looked up at the two. "WHY DID YOU LEAVE ME?!?" Ash roared. "Ash, we never left you." Brock answered. "We never would!" "THOSE ARE ALL LIES!!" Ash screamed. It was weird how this commotion didn't attract anyone. "YOU LOCKED ME UP IN MY CLOSET AND THEN THE STORM HIT!" Ash continued furiously. "IT STARTED TO FLOOD AND BY THE TIME THE FLOOD REACHED MY ROOM, I WAS STILL TRAPPED IN MY CLOSET. I THEN DROWNED IN MY VERY CLOSET THAT DAY AND YOU DIDN'T DO A SINGLE THING!"
By that moment, Brock and Misty were seriously confused. That's when Brock figured out what happened and told Misty. "I think Ash has been possessed by a ghost." Brock whispered. "When he opened the closet, the girl possessed him, only because she needed someone to help her." "That explains why Ash got seasick all of the sudden near the dock." Misty whispered back. "That also explains why Ash is acting like this right now. Brock, what do we do?" The truth was, Brock had no clue as to what to do. If he tried to get someone to help, no one would believe him. Instead, Brock stood up and walked towards Ash. That's when he felt a force tugging him back, but Brock kept going. Eventually, Brock was standing in front of Ash.
"Look, we're sorry for just leaving you there." Brock began. Misty was confused as to what Brock was doing and whispered, "Brock, what are you talking about?" Brock whispered back, "Just leave it to me." Then Brock continued. "It wasn't right of us to have just forgotten you there. We should have tried to save you. We deserve any punishment you are prepared to give us."
Misty just stared at Brock with her eyes wide open. "We're going to get punished for something we never did?" That's when Misty finally realized what Brock was trying to do. Brock was trying to take place the people who actually did the cruel deed.
The next statement Ash said really shocked the both of them. He said this in his original voice. "But...you never did it." That's when Ash began to float to the ceiling. A weird dark cloud poured out of Ash's mouth. It then suddenly turned white and Brock heard the voice Ash had been hearing, except it was much kinder. "Thank you for helping me." it said. Suddenly, the weird cloud took into the shape of a cute little girl. That's when someone finally walked into the room after hearing all the commotion. Oddly enough, it was the little girl's big brother. When he saw the spirit of the little girl, he dropped to his knees and cried.
"You really did die..." the strange man wept. "Why did you lock me in my closet?" the little girl asked. "We were playing cops and robbers during that big storm and I finally caught you." The man said. "Suddenly, mom and dad told me I had to get out because it was beginning to flood. I completely forgot that you were still in your closet. By the time I remembered, we were on the roof and the flood had reached your room. I told mom and dad what happened and they were in shock. Dad went in to save you, but I pulled him out and I went in instead." The man then started to sob much louder. "I tried my hardest, but I just couldn't reach you. I could only get as far as the top of the stairs and my little lungs failed me. I drowned but then my dad found me immediately and saved me. By that time, it was too late and we found your body all blue in the closet. We wept for three days and we set your poor body afloat the marsh behind our house. We had to move away because it stopped raining for months and the house was beyond repairs." The poor man looked at his poor little sister with sorrow and the little girl looked at him back. "I'm so sorry." The man continued to sob. "I deserve any punishment you want to give me. I'm so sorry." The man continued to weep on top of the girls ghostly shoes. Ash finally woke up after everything and stood up to see what was happening.
The only thing about the little girl was that it couldn't speak by itself and it needed a host. That's why she went with Ash. Oddly enough, once Ash finally got up, the girl went back into Ash's body. Poor ash collapsed onto the floor once more, receiving a massive headache once more, which stopped after a few minutes. The only thing was, to Ash and co., that felt like hours. The girl began to speak with the mixture of Ash and her voice. "Thank you for helping me." Ash said to the man. "I finally understand. I won't punish you because now I know you tried to save me and nearly died in the process. Thank you."
On that note, Ash's body began to float again and out came the little girl's spirit, which then floated off to the horizon and the setting sun. Ash collapsed once more onto the ground and Misty and Brock sighed in relief.
"Man, I'm glad that was over!" Misty exclaimed. "Yeah, you're right." Brock answered. Brock then noticed the strange man leaving. "At least you now know your little sister is at peace." Brock said to the man. "Thank you for bringing her here." the man said. "I can't thank you enough." At that note, the man left, leaving Misty, Brock, and poor Ash in that one room.
After a few minutes, Ash woke up. "What happened?" he said. Brock and Misty just stared at him as if he had just missed the most important thing ever, which in a way, he did.
After that, the two of them just laughed as they walked away and laughed and Ash was just standing there confused.
In the morning after the trio finally receive a good night's rest, they were head off to Fuchsia Islands where there next adventure awaited them. "Let's go!" Ash screamed as he ran towards the ferry. At that note, they were off!
